JLP’s Gager promises to teach PNP cousin a political lesson
TRELAWNY, Jamaica- Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for the Warsop Division, C Junior Gager has promised to “beat and teach” his opponent Kedon Glave, who just happens to be his cousin.
Gager has been the councillor for the division since 2003, during which time he enjoyed the support of Glave until the present election.
“There is no mercy when it comes to politics. There is no mercy. I am going out 100 per cent. I have done my work and I know I will be giving him a political flogging. I am going to teach him to have sense,” Gager told Observer Online.
Gager, who touted his performance during his tenure, is buoyed by the strong turnout of green-clad party supporters who thronged the polling stations across the division throughout the day, even in heavy downpours.
“If you just look at every PD (polling division) cluster and see what the turnout was like, you will see the flood of Labourites. Plus, I am telling you there are many who don’t wear green and even some in the orange, voting for me,” Gager stated.
“I have lived here. I have done the work. I am courteous and mannersable to people,” he added.
