WATCH: In final campaign stop, Holness says the economy is at stake
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prime Minister and Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader Andrew Holness, in his final campaign stop ahead of Monday’s local government election, reiterated what he says are the economic achievements of the ruling JLP administration and dismissed the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) as having “no clue” about good fiscal management.
“There are many young people in this audience who will not immediately get the message, but those who are a little more in age will understand this message: We cannot allow the PNP to get hold of the economy of this country again after we have set it right,” Holness said at the rally on Olympic Way in his St Andrew West Central constituency on Saturday evening.
“I want you to understand what’s at stake here…You see dem run come out and make all type of promise… dem want spend off the money that dem never mek… they understand nothing about managing an economy,” he said.
