Teflon Young King wows Cali Vibes Fest, releases EP
Singer Teflon Young King has had a busy February, releasing a mixtape and performing on shows in California.
The highlight of his dates in the Golden State was working at Cali Vibes Fest.
The roots artiste performed on opening night of the February 16-18 show in Long Beach.
Cali Vibes Fest attracted high-profile acts such as Stephen and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Inner Circle, Gwen Stefani, Ice Cube, and The Pharcyde.
His appearance at Cali Vibes Fest came one day after the release of his EP,
Light Through The Darkness.
“Performing on the Cali Vibes festival was a great feeling, especially to see some of my fans on the Cali side who have been supporting my work for years. The last two weeks have been spent moving to and from, making sure we’re on time to present myself to the fans so they can always remember me and my performances,” Teflon Young King told the
Jamaica Observer.
He is currently promoting songs from three albums —
Years of Pain (Solid to The End, Brimstone), Tears of Joy (Kungo), and Underrated (Style), which came out in 2021, 2022, and 2023, respectively.
Last year set the tone for another round of live shows overseas for the St Mary-born artiste.
In 2023, Teflon Young King performed in Toronto, Sacramento, Oregon, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale to promote Underrated — an 11-song set that came out in August.
After Cali Vibes Fest, Teflon Young King he was scheduled to complete his California tour with shows in Bolinas, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles. He also has dates down for Lake Wales, Florida, and Guyana in March.
