KC, Edwin Allen end Gibson/McCook with 4x400m wins
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Kingston College and Edwin Allen ended the 47th Gibson/McCook Relays with wins in their respective 4x400m Open relays at the National Stadium on Saturday, while GC Foster won the men’s Open race.
After placing second last year and winning just two relays events on Saturday, Kingston College ended another successful staging of the event, winning in 3:09.46 seconds, comfortably ahead of defending champions Jamaica College who ran 3:11.36 seconds and Calabar High 3:11.97 seconds.
Edwin Allen retained their title with an impressive 3:28.23 seconds, well ahead of Vere Technical 3:43.39 seconds and St Mary High ran 3:44.92 seconds for third place.
GC Foster A also retained their title after running 3:07.10 seconds to win the men’s clubs/institution final, beating a Racers TC team that included World Champion Antonio Watson that ran 3:08.35 seconds and another GC Foster squad was third in 3:15.64 seconds.
