Granville end first round with draw against Wadada
ST JAMES, Jamaica— Former champions Granville United ended their first round schedule in the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League with a 1-1 draw against Wadada United in their Zone A return- round game played at the UDC field on Saturday.
Andre Tate’s third goal of the season gave Granville United the lead in the 40th minute but Akeem Robinson scored in the 58th minute for Wadada United to get their second point of the season.
On Friday, Heights FC completed their first round schedule with a 2-0 win over Green Pond SC with goals from Aleko Miller in the 55th minute and an own goal from Demar Thomas in the 80th minute.
Heights FC finished with 13 points and third place in Zone A behind Flanker United and Granville United, while Green Pond SC are fourth with six points.
