Kingston man charged with attempted murder, attempted rape

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 39-year-old man from Kingston has attempted murder and attempted rape after he allegedly attacked a woman he has a previous relationship with on Friday, February 2.

The man is deliveryman of Lancaster Road, Kingston 10

Reports from the Half-Way -Tree police are that about 12:40 am, the woman was at home with

Grant, whom she had a previous relationship with. He reportedly grabbed her and demanded sexual favours. When his demands were not met, he allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed her multiple times all over her body.

She was assisted to the hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition.

Bresford reportedly went to the Half -Way -Tree Police Station and confessed to the crime. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

He is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday, April 26.
