Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix visiting Jamaica with her husband for their ‘babymoon’
Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix is visiting Jamaica for what she described as her and her husband’s “babymoon.”
In an Instagram post on Wednesday Felix, who has since retired, shared a post of how she met her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, 22 years ago in Jamaica for the World Junior Championships.
“22 years ago I went to Jamaica for the World Junior Championships and met my now husband on that team. I also fell in love with the incredible people and the beautiful country. Even though they always cheered against me. I honestly feel so appreciated when I am here. It was only right for us to come back for our babymoon. Jamaica will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for all of the love and hospitality,” the post read.
The couple supposedly bonded over their love for athletics and eventually married in 2018, as well as welcomed the birth of their daughter.
Felix has won over 30 medals in various international tournaments, with seven of them being Olympic Gold medals for the United States.
