Aidonia, Jada Kingdom, Nigy Boy added to Sumfest lineup
KINGSTON, Jamaica — As organisers continue to generate excitement surrounding this year’s staging of Reggae Sumfest, three more acts have been added to the festival’s lineup.
On the heels of news that international RnB crooner Babyface will be making an appearance on International Night Two, Aidonia, Jada Kingdom and fast-rising singing sensation Nigy Boy have all been booked for the event.
The announcement was made via the festival’s social media pages on Monday.
Nigy Boy, the visually impaired entertainer currently heating up the local music scene, is set to make his debut appearance on Saturday, July 20, while Aidonia and Jada Kingdom will perform on Friday, July 19 on what is widely known as Dancehall Night.
Aidonia, no stranger to the Reggae Sumfest stage, will be returning to Catherine Hall after a year’s break. His last solo set was in 2022.
Jada Kingdom, who joined Downsound Entertainment’s artiste, D’Yani on stage last year, is set to headline her own set this time around.
Sumfest is set to take place during the week of July 14-20. Legendary reggae artiste, Beres Hammond has also been booked for the show.
Festival organisers have also revealed that dancehall veteran Bounty Killer will be honoured through a special musical tribute this year.
