SVL unveils new employee learning platform
SUPREME Ventures Limited (SVL), a giant in the Jamaican gaming and lottery industry, has announced the launch of its latest initiative aimed at boosting employee learning and development — Supreme Ventures University (SVU).
Powered by the online learning platform Edufocal, SVU offers free access to over 200 courses for SVL’s diverse workforce of over 500 employees.
Speaking at the recent launch of the new university, Sasha-Kay Burke, head of HR and administration, highlighted the company’s commitment to employee development.
“At SVL, we firmly believe that our people are our greatest asset. Employee development is a strategic priority for us, and the creation of our own university signifies our commitment to taking our training and development programme to the next level,” she said.
Burke emphasised SVU’s exceptional flexibility, allowing team members to tailor their learning experience to their pace and schedule.
“SVU offers both pre-recorded classes and live sessions led by industry experts, seamlessly integrating work and personal life. With SVU, a wealth of knowledge is easily accessible to every member of #TeamSupreme,” she added.
Upon successful completion of each course, learners will earn certifications recognised by SVL, validating their skills and expertise.
The launch of the Supreme Ventures University is the first step in developing what will eventually become the gold standard of training in the gaming and lottery industry regionally. It also represents the company’s ongoing commitment to invest in its human resources and to foster a culture of continuous learning and upskilling among its employees.
SVU was rolled out to #TeamSupreme on February 1.
