Racing United, Tru Juice win in JFF Championships
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – Leaders Racing United and Tru-Juice FC scored contrasting wins over Petersfield FC and Faulkland FC respectively on Saturday as the Jamaica Football Federation’s Championships continued.
Nickyle Ellis scored a second half hat-trick as Racing United blanked new comers Petersfield FC 5-0 at the Petersfield Community Centre and moved to 22 points, four more than Tru-Juice who edged Faulkland FC 1-0 in Bog Walk.
All five goals came in the final 40 minutes of the game as Mikyle Williams opened the scoring in the 50th minute, Jordan Ellison made it 2-0 in the 67th minute and Ellis scored in the 75th, 78th and 81st minutes.
Baptist Alliance beat Brown’s Town 3-0 at Drax Hall to move to 16 points and into third place while Chapleton Maroons are now fourth after edging Reno FC 1-0.
St Bess United were 3-1 winners over Portlanders FC while Falmouth United and Gray’s Inn finished 1-1.
