JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation joins MSBM to support youth entrepreneurship
THE Vincent HoSang UWI Venture Competition (UWIVC), hosted by Mona School of Business & Management (MSBM), is designed as a platform for growth for student entrepreneurs in the Caribbean, by equipping them with the resources they need to move their ideas from concept into full-fledged businesses. The competition, which started in 2002, has seen many entrants use it as a springboard to take their businesses to the next level.
MSBM recently held a closing ceremony to recognise the top entrants among this year’s cohort of budding entrepreneurs. Additionally, two sectional prizes were awarded for corporate social responsibility and digital transformation and implementation from JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation and Baymac, respectively.
The recent staging of the competition was supported by Vincent HoSang Family Foundation and Caribbean Food Delights, JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation, Baymac, National Commercial Bank (NCB), Rev Up Caribbean, and Mona Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Centre.
