MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Four teenagers and an adult were taken into custody after stolen laptops, tablets and snacks were found in their possession in four Manchester communities on Sunday.
Police said the items recovered were believed to be stolen from the Mile Gully Primary School between February 9 and 12, when the school was closed.
Three of the suspects are ages 15, 16 and 32 while two others are both aged 17.
A police source said between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm targeted operations were conducted in Grove Place, Crawl, Leichfield and Golf (communities near Mile Gully).
“We recovered six of the laptops, seven tablets, five cellphones, three laptop chargers, 14 Samsung chargers, a kitchen scale and a box of snacks which were stolen from the school,” the source said.
Police are searching for a sixth suspect who they believe is the mastermind of the robbery.
