WATCH: Golding declares that the country needs a government with integrity
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Opposition leader Mark Golding, while on the local government election campaign trail, has declared that the country needs a government with integrity, which he believes the People’s National Party (PNP) offers.
Golding made the comments during a tour of Rae Town in Kingston and Western St Andrew earlier this week.
“The energy of the PNP is here. Our people are energised, our people want to see us back in power and I encourage each and every one here, whether it be from [the] East Kingston side, Central Kingston Side, Allman Town and Rae Town, please take this one seriously. Because [with] this one history will be made, and you will be a part of making that history,” Golding said.
He added: “And we need to turn the table on them [the Jamaica Labour Party], Jamaica needs the PNP back in office. A government with integrity, a government looking out for the people who need help, a government that you can rely on to build institutions to support the needy, to support the vulnerable, to support the masses of the people.
The Opposition leader went on to remind the public that under the PNP’s leadership the National Housing Trust, National Health Fund, the PATH programme, and the highways in the country were developed.
