SANDALS Ochi Beach Resort ignited excitement with its inaugural Departmental Domino Tournament.

The affair was strategically designed to enhance synergy and camaraderie among team members.

The one-day event had 16 teams scheduled to compete for the title. Knockout rounds built a sizzling suspense that was almost tangible as the crowd froze in silence, anticipating the players’ next moves.

Housekeeping faced off with the stewarding department in the final round — which was, ironically, women versus men. The competition was fierce from the beginning as both teams were neck and neck to the end. Eventually the enthusiastic ladies from team housekeeping made a grand entrance to the Sandals domino arena after defeating the men by two points.

It was amazing to watch team housekeeping happily celebrate their win with applause, hugs, and dances from everyone in attendance.

Reflecting on the success of the event, Carol Bourke, general manager said, “The domino competition was a fantastic way to bring our teams together. It’s heartening to see the positive impact on our work culture, and we’re committed to fostering such initiative[s] in the future.”
