Carpenter charged after allegedly pointing a gun at two men
ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A 41-year-old carpenter was arrested and charged with several offences after he allegedly pointed a gun at two men on Duhaney Terrace, Kingston 20, on Thursday, January 25.
Charged is Andre Jennings, otherwise called ‘Jermaine’, of Queensborough Avenue, Kingston 20. Jennings was charged with assault at common law, possession of a prohibited weapon and using a prohibited weapon to commit an offence.
Reports from the Duhaney Park Police are that about 3:00 pm, a man was walking with a friend when it was alleged that Jennings approached the man with the firearm and pointed it at him. The man and his friend managed to escape, and reported the matter to the police.
An investigation was launched and Jennings was arrested on Sunday, February 11 and subsequently charged following an identification parade on Friday, February 16.
His court date is being finalised.
