Love in the Gardens: A spectacular evening of romance
Suga Rush Entertainment, in partnership with Rum Bar Rum Cream, successfully hosted the highly anticipated Love in the Gardens event at Hope Gardens on February 11, 2024.
With a line-up that included headliner Freddie Jackson with Sanchez, Alaine, Remone Watson, and Island Kings, the event brought together music enthusiasts and romantics for a remarkable evening of love and entertainment.
Each artiste, with their own unique style, thrilled the audience with their captivating melodies. One highlight of the night was a surprise cameo by the legendary dancehall/reggae artiste Beenie Man in Sanchez’s set, who delighted the crowd with his usual exuberant presence which kept patrons on their feet.
With a full VIP section, attendees enjoyed the ultimate concert experience, complete with premium amenities, and an excellent view of the stage. The VVIP elevated section added an extra touch of elegance to the event, allowing guests to be seated.
The organisers indicated satisfaction with the staging of fun-filled event.
Rum Bar Rum Cream’s Marketing Manager Tamika West also expressed her enthusiasm: “We are proud to have been a part of Love in the Gardens, an event that perfectly embodies the spirit of celebration and togetherness.”
The show opened promptly at 6:00 pm with Remone Watson, the 2023 Digicel Rising Star. The evening continued with Island Kings’ sweet harmonies. They ended their set with an original song,
Champion, that celebrates Jamaica. Alaine performed for some thre-quarter hour and shared with the audience her personal experience of falling in love with music amid persons who tried to tell her that her musical career would not be successful. Dressed in red and white, Sanchez did a vibrant set of R&B covers — reggae style — which had patrons singing along for the hour-long set. He ended his set with a gospel song thanking the audience for their support.
Freddie Jackson had the audience enthralled as he reminded them of his musical journey with songs such as Rock Me Tonight, You Are My Lady, and Love is Just A Touch Away.
The staging of Love in the Gardens further solidifies Kingston as the vibrant and diverse entertainment culture spot of the Caribbean as the island celebrates Reggae Month.
