Juici Patties expanding to US
JUICI Patties, the Clarendon-based restaurant franchise, is getting ready to expand to the United States and is inviting franchisees to apply to operate its restaurants in that country. The company said it will be starting first in Miami, Florida.
Daniel Chin, director of operations and CEO of Juici Patties US division and the son of founder Jukie Chin, is leading the charge to expand the franchise. A website has even been created at https://juicipattiesfranchising.com/ inviting interest parties to apply.
While Daniel could not be reached, he was quoted in interviews about the move in at least two US publications. In
Grit Daily News, a newsource for millennial and Gen Z start-ups, Daniel was quoted as saying Miami was the first choice to enter the US market because of the “very large Jamaican diaspora in the city — as well as the state.”
Daniel was also central in bringing Juici Patties to the UK market.
“Jamaican cuisine is a symphony of flavours that reflects our diverse cultural heritage,” Daniel said to
Grit Daily News. “Our goal is to give people a genuine taste of our culture and share Jamaica with the world, one patty at a time.”
The Juici Patties US franchise website said investors have a chance to apply amongst three packages ranging from US$346,950 – US$469,500 for the small format restaurant to US$619,450 – US$792,550 for large format restaurants. The standard format package costs US$537,450 – US$692,350. The sums include a US$30,000 franchise fee but excludes any costs a franchisee may incur for leases.
Juici Patties now has over 60 locations and manufacture in Canada and the United Kingdom with exports to 10 Caribbean islands.
