Businessman shot during attempted robbery at Oakland Apartments

A businessman was reportedly shot and injured on Tuesday morning during an attempted robbery at Oakland Apartments on Constant Spring Road in Kingston.

Reports are that about 8:45am, men travelling in a Toyota Probox motor car entered the apartment complex. It is alleged that one of the men alighted from the car and entered the building in which the now-injured man lives.

Shortly after, gunshots were heard.

Police were summoned to the location and are processing the scene.

The businessman is said to be in hospital receiving treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
