Pressure Busspipe drops ‘Destiny’ song and video
Reggae artiste Pressure Busspipe is issuing a rallying cry for self-determination with his latest single, Destiny, which was released recently on the IzaYoung Boy Production label.
“I am very excited about this project as all, but Destiny is a song that I wanted to handle carefully and strategically. The magnitude of this song from the instrumentation to the lyrics and the melody are all amazing in its own way. But together, Just simply poetry. Respect to Ferdy and the entire Iza young boy production team,” Pressure Busspipe, whose real name is Delyno Brown, said.
Talented producer Ferdinand Maynard aka IzaYoung Boy praised the “range and skill” of the accomplished St Thomas, USVI-born reggae artiste.
“The song is very melodic but more importantly, it is a chant and stance for the new year.Pressure is rallying the everyday man who wants his or her opportunity to do as they chose,” Maynard said.
A video for the project was released last weekend and has generated almost 10,000 views so far.
Born in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Pressure Busspipe gained his early experience working on the Star Lion sound system in the late 1990s. His debut album, The Pressure Is On, was produced by Dean Pond and released in 2005.
The artiste’s 2016 album Red Rose reached the top 10 of the Billboard Reggae charts.
A well known US Virgin Islands reggae ambassador, he is known for songs including Love and Affection, Time Is The Master, Once Again, Lost Without You, and Woman Of The Nile.
The remixed version of Love and Affection, a song originally recorded for Pond but updated by producer Don Corleon, remains his most enduring hit.
Don Corleon produced an album of the same name.
In November 2019, Pressure released his last album, Rebel With a Cause.
