Blazing Bleu & Bougie expected
Jerry McDonald, co-producer of The Elite Weekend, says this year’s staging of Bleu & Bougie promises to exceed the expectations of patrons.
“[The] preparation is going great. We are happy that Jamaica is excited to see and be part of this Elite Weekend,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
The all-inclusive event is slated for March 16 on the lawns of Devon House in St Andrew.
McDonald further explained that there are several characteristics which make the event, which started in 2016, attractive.
“Bleu & Bougie is the world’s first and only all-blue event ..that is one of our unique features. Another feature is the Bleu & Impact Awards, [where] every event we give back, and we also award members of our Caribbean community,” the co-producer said.
Meanwhile, popular emcee and disc jockey Bishop Escobar is elated to be playing at this year’s staging of Bleu & Bougie for the first time.
“Honestly, it’s a great pleasure for me to be a part of this event because I’m a more hard core DJ, but it comes to certain bookings, mi know how fi fit the event when called upon by the promoters because mi have a diverse way of playing music,” he told the Observer.
Other DJs billed for the soirée include Richie Ras, Icopsycho, and Rich Rocc.
At the same time, McDonald is imploring all party lovers to be present come March.
“We invite patrons to attend and engage because your next opportunity can possibly be at our events. Many patrons have found love, business partnerships, and many opportunities at our events and it’s all in the people that you meet,” he added.
