Unexpected Independent in Trelawny
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Sidelined Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate aspirant, Eric Wint has been nominated as an independent candidate to contest the Martha Brae Division in the Trelawny Northern constituency.
Wint, clad in white, was accompanied by a handful of supporters to the nomination centre at the Trelawny Municipal Corporation headquarters at the historical Falmouth Courthouse building.
His opponents at the February 26 local government polls will be Dave Lawkin of the JLP and Roydell Hamilton of the People’s National Party.
