PNP late for nominations in Grange Hill
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica- Despite getting times for nomination to avoid a clash with Jamaica Labor Party (JLP) councillor candidates, the People’s National Party’s representatives are yet to show up at the nomination centre in Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
As a result, supporters of both parties are currently clashing in the town as they throw slurs at each other.
One PNP supporter could be heard shouting to a bus of labourites, “gweh empty bus!”.
Councillor candidates from the Little London, Sheffield and Negril divisions are said to be heading to the Anglican Church hall in a motorcade.
Observer Online understands that JLP candidates should start their nomination at 1:00 pm even as supporters await the arrival of the PNP’s candidates.
