God’s Good Gift
The love story of Michael Watts and Vanise Thilmutt began on January 16, 2021 at Palisadoes and culminated with a pledge of undying love on Christmas Eve 2023 at Michael’s home. Pastor Adrian Johnson guided them through the exchange of vows
“I am a Seventh-day Adventist and worship at Amor Ministries,” shared Michael with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV). “A potluck and Bible study were planned and coincidentally, a friend invited Vanise to our gathering,” he added. Little did he know that his life was about to change for good.
In fact he recalls with a smile how her entrance stopped the room. “I felt as if time itself came to a halt,” he recalls. “Her beauty was so captivating that I could not take my eyes off of her. Nonetheless, that was not the main thing that attracted me to her. It was when she spoke about the Bible passionately that gave me butterflies. At that very moment I told myself that I will get her number before she left. Couple minutes after, she said that we should subscribe to her YouTube channel. Being the leader of the ministry, I quickly volunteered to be the one to share it with the group. Of course I had an ulterior motive!”
Things ran smoothly from the outset. They spoke for hours after their first telephone call. There was not much left unsaid. They even shared their likes and dislikes. After that conversation, their love for each other blossomed into a true love story.
There were a few bumps along the road but that only made their bond stronger.
“It was through these experiences that we found out that though perfectly imperfect, God ordained that we are perfect for each other. My wife is my greatest motivator and I cannot imagine my life without her. She is my confidante and best friend. Our wedding was a miracle from God, and I am glad I gave my life to Jesus so that I can experience God’s good gifts. This letter is a gift to my wife because she has no idea I am doing this, Michael shared.
