18-y-o charged with Westmoreland murder
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – In a swift investigation into the murder of 19-year-old Enrico Chambers in Johnson Bush, Top Road, Little London, Westmoreland, a teenager has been charged in connection with the incident.
Charged is 18-year-old Wade Dennis otherwise called ‘Shabdon’, of the same community.
The murder occurred on Thursday, January 18.
According to the police, Chambers, a farmer of Broughton district, was sitting in a relative’s yard when an altercation erupted between him and two other men, including Dennis, who threatened him before leaving.
Later, Dennis and his accomplice allegedly returned armed with machetes and inflicted several chop wounds to Chambers, who was pronounced dead at hospital.
The police, acting promptly on information, located and apprehended Dennis in Top Road, Little London.
He was subsequently charged. On Monday, January 28, his co-accused, who is not yet charged, turned himself in to the police.
