9-y-o boy killed, woman injured in May Pen gun attack

CLARENDON, Jamaica – A nine-year-old boy is dead following a shooting incident at a shop in May Pen, Clarendon on Friday evening.

Reports are that around 7:45pm, the child was among a group of persons at the shop when a gunman entered the establishment and opened fire hitting the boy and a woman.

The victims were rushed to hospital where the child was pronounced dead and the woman admitted.

The gunman escaped.
