SpenxShell and Rhomedadon generate buzz with ‘Can’t Stop The Rain’
Already having several notations under his belt within the music production industry, Rhomedadon decided to collaborate with rising dancehall artiste Spenxshell on his track, Can’t Stop The Rain.
Recently released on all major digital streaming platforms, the track and its official video have already managed to grasp the attention of music curators as far as Germany and South Africa, contributing to the single’s thousands of streams so far.
Rhomedadon, who has a keen eye for talent, expressed that he decided to work with Spenxshell because he sees where the artiste will be a force to reckon with once he breaks through the industry’s walls.
“Spenxshell is a very talented writer and through his previous work I could tell that a story worth telling would be released on this beat and he did not disappoint,” Rhomedadon said.
Meanwhile, the artiste shares that the track was uprooted from a personal place.
“Can’t Stop The Rain was birthed from real life events of being betrayed in past relationships and from experiencing deceit,” said Spenxshell, who is known for tracks such as Big Drip, Paranoia and Faith.
In the song, the artiste spits thought provoking lines such as “Misplaced hate but dem can’t stop the greatness, Bobby done tell me fi watch out fi snake in a the grass in a various places, but I’m like King David, baby Goliath a gwaan like dem brain big but Psalms 46 done tell mi fi stay still, A God a my refuge and strength suh mi nah look no Fren from dem, You Can’t Stop The Rain”.
Having music as a channel, the talented writer embedded his raw emotions in each line of the track allowing its listeners to be fully engulfed in lyrics that relate.
When asked about the reception of the track, Spenxshell said that he is pleased with the direction of the song while crediting the players who actively play a part in its growing success.
“It’s amazing to see how far the fans are sending this track, people are inspired and motivated and I’m thankful. Much respect to the label for doing a fantastic job in putting in the effort to make this project a success, Prince Villa Records for mixing and mastering the project, Ramon Lindsay for the Visuals and big up GOD,” he said.
The artiste also has a few collaborations in the making with fellow entertainers such as Dotta Coppa and Schorcha Don that promise to make an impact in addition to numerous singles from various producers, including Rhome Records, that are slated to hit stores for the coming year.
