Staying true to producer’s claim of authenticity, the Bob Marley: One Love biopic hit the big screen on The Rock with stars and supporting stars — some of whom are children of real-life friends of the music legend — hitting the red carpet at a Carib 5 viewing on Thursday.

The highly anticipated biopic stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley, and Rock-blooded actress Lashana Lynch as his wife, Rita. Lynch missed the festivities but was represented by her Jamaican mum Sonia and her special guest Doña Croll, one of the veteran actresses she shouted out during her BAFTA 2022 Rising Star Award acceptance speech.

The film made its world premiere in Jamaica ahead of the theatrical debut on February 14.
