Wildfire Records to release three albums
Wildfire Records out of Philadelphia has a busy 2024 in store, with three compilation albums scheduled for release in the first quarter of the year.
The albums are Champions in Action, Ready fi di World and Champion Album.
Earl Messam, founder and head of that company, told Observer Online that many of the songs are by artistes he has worked with for some time, as well as upcoming acts from the City of Brotherly Love.
Among them is Ian Sweetness who covers three songs made popular in Jamaica by Dennis Brown. They are Ain’t That Loving You, Love Has Found its Way and If You Want my Loving.
He also does a rendition of Teddy Pendergrass’ Love TKO. Sweetness’ songs are included on the three albums.
“Wi have been working hard to give di fans quality music an’ I have no doubt we achieved that,” said Messam.
Queen Shan Bam and Tia, American artistes with Jamaican heritage, are also represented on the albums.
Messam, who is from Clarendon, started in the music business nearly 40 years ago. Two of the acts he produced songs for early in their careers were Daddy Screw and Mad Cobra.
Messam has also produced songs by singers Doniki and Roland Burrell in recent years. They also have tracks on the pending albums.
