Rosetta looks a safe bet in maiden three-year-old race
The Jason DaCosta-conditioned Rosetta headlines a field of nine runners to contest the $1.05-million maiden special weight event for native-bred three-year-old fillies going over 6 furlong (1,200m).
The analysis of the runners is provided below.

APLOMB

Western Warrior – Truly Trudy
) – Finished fourth on debut behind
Oh So Smart over four furlongs (800m) on December 10.
Aplomb could run another decent race here.
2.
BROWNIE BROWN
: (3 ch f by
Shackleville – Alienate
) – Was never a factor on January 6 when finishing in fifth position behind
Allegiance over 7 furlongs (1,400m).
Brownie Brown is not expected to figure here.

VALLEY OF LOVE

) – Is going to be left behind in this one. Note: Blinkers on.

LADY LAUREN
: (3 b f by
Deputy Glitters – Anna
) – Got away from gate handlers prior to the start of her debut run on December 17, but managed to finish second behind
Intrestntimesahead over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m). With
Intrestntimesahead coming back and won the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes over a mile (1,600m),
Lady Lauren is expected to make a brave bid for top honours here.

BUZZ MARIE

Buzz Nightmare – Free Marie
) – Has no form to recommend for a winning run here.
6.
ROSETTA
: (3 rn f by
Bold Conquest – Khadiliah
) – Finished in last position in the Jamaica Two-Year-old Stakes over one mile on December 26, 2023.
Rosetta had previously finished two close seconds against horses considerably better than these. She finished ahead second to
Fastnfuriouslinks at 6 furlongs on November 11, 2023, and a length behind
Matuso at a mile on December 16.
Rosetta, now back amongst the maidens, will be difficult to beat.

RACHEAL MANNIN

) – Nicely bred runner who make her debut here.
Rachael Mannin is not expected to impact on the outcome of this race.

TEE OFF
: (3 ch f by
Sensational Slam – Indian Bluff
) – Made an encouraging debut when finishing fourth by 3 ¼ lengths behind
Butter Cup over 7 furlongs on November 19, 2023.
Tee Off is expected to improve from that effort and should run well here.
9.
HIMAYA

Casual Trick – Raksha
) – Has no chance where winning is concerned.
