Taxi operator charged with rape, abduction of 16-y-o in St Elizabeth

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police are reporting that a 60-year-old taxi operator has been charged with the rape and abduction of a 16-year-old girl in St Elizabeth last month.

Charged is Roy Allen, a resident of Downs district, Watson Hill in Manchester.

A police report said that on December 24, 2023, Allen took the child to a dirt road after he dropped off passengers on the Junction route. He allegedly removed her clothes and raped her in Turner Top district.

A report was made to the police and following an investigation he was arrested and subsequently charged.

Last October, head of the St Elizabeth Police Coleridge Minto said his division would be relentless in targeting pedophiles with detectives reviewing unsolved cases involving child victims.
