Digicel Business amplifies support for Couples Charity Golf Tournament
BUILDING on a successful record of supporting charitable causes, and passion for fostering the next generation of golfers, Digicel Business has increased its sponsorship for the annual Couples Resorts Charity Golf Tournament. The exciting fund-raiser will feature several corporate golfers who will be teeing off at the Upton Golf Club in St Ann on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
As presenting sponsor, Digicel Business will make it the perfect opportunity to work in tandem with other corporate sponsors to make generous donations to even more deserving non-profit organisations this year. Team Digicel Business will also mentor young golfers who are eager to hone their skills on the 18-hole course.
“The funds will go directly towards our continued efforts to address the needs of the Three Hills Primary and Hamilton Mountain Basic schools, in addition to supporting the efforts of the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals,” said director of corporate and government relations for Digicel Business Joy Clark.
“It is our responsibility as Jamaica’s preferred connectivity partner to businesses, schools, and other public sector institutions to build, develop and create significant positive change for those we serve,” she added.
Considered one of Jamaica’s elite golf courses, Upton – stretched out over a rolling landscape with sweeping views of the sea and mountains with meticulously groomed greens and fairway – is a reasonably challenging course for golfers.
Through the generous support of corporate entities over the years, the Couples Resorts Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $25 million for several local charities.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity of our corporate friends, and we look forward to strengthening our relationships with them, while understanding how we can better serve their business interests,” Clark concluded.
