Seven charged in beating of 14-y-o girl offered bail
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Three women and four minors who were charged last month with the beating of a 14-year-old Clarendon girl, were offered bail when they appeared before the Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday.
The adults, 52-year-old Pauline Hughes-Smith, 36-year-old Fayann Millwood, and 22-year-old Amanda Anderson were granted bail in the sum of $1.2 million each, while the minors, ages 15, 16, and 17, were offered bail in the sum of $600,000.
The seven individuals were seen beating the 14-year-old on a video which has since gone viral.
Reports from the May Pen police are that the teen was on Allan Street when she was ambushed and beaten by the group, rendering her unconscious. The women were later charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
