Sailor from Jamaica works with doctor to treat patients in Palau during Pacific Partnership 2024
US Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Ramoune Scarlett from Trelawny, Jamaica, and Darlene Belonio, a local doctor, work side-by-side to perform an echocardiogram on a Palauan patient at Belau National Hospital in Koror, Palau, as part of Pacific Partnership 2024-1, on January 2. Pacific Partnership, now in its 19th iteration, is the largest multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific and works to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships.
