Oil Machine to go one better in competitive-looking three-year-old race
On tomorrow’s nine-race schedule, a group of six horses will compete in what seems to be a very competitive Non-Restricted Maiden Condition Race for native-bred three-year-olds.
The event will be held over 7 furlongs (1,400m) for a purse of $1.05 million as part of the season running up to the Classic series of races.
Below is the analysis of each runner and their winning chances.
1. ALLEGIANCE: (3 ch c by Midnight Hawk – Princess Geeta) – Showed signs of ability when finishing second by 13 lengths to Princess Amahle over 6 furlongs (1,200m) on December 30. Allegiance should be comfortable among these and is expected to put in another good performance here.
2. WARRIORSTOMP: (3 b c by Savoy Stomp – Cup O Tea) – Has shown nothing from two starts so far. Warriorstomp is not expected to figure here and so he is best left alone.
3. VALLEY OF LOVE: (3 b f by Spieth – May Flower) – Is not expected to win here.
4. BROWNIE BROWN: (3 ch f by Shackleville – Alienate) – Was a late non-starter prior to race time on December 23, 2023. Brownie Brown finished second by 4 lengths behind Oh So Smart on debut on December 11, 2023 over 4 furlongs (800m). While she is not expected to win, Brownie Brown could hit the board in this one.
5. OIL MACHINE: (3 ch c by Bern Identity – Keep The Faith) – Finished second by 10 lengths behind Intrestntimesahead on debut in the Miss Ruth Trophy over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m) on December 17, 2023. Oil Machine has been working fairly well since and with his conquer going on to win the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes on December 26, he is expected to go one better here.
6. BLU SENSATION: (3 b f by Sensational Slam – Blues In The Grass) – The most experienced runner in the line-up with five starts. Blu Sensation has finished second two times in her career and with the experience under her belt, could challenge for top honours here.
