St Catherine man charged for allegedly threatening man with gun

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica— A man accused of using a firearm to threaten another man during a dispute in Savanna Lane, Linstead, St Catherine on Sunday, December 24, 2023 has been charged.

Charged with assault at common law and possession of a prohibited weapon is 33-year-old Chevis Barnett, a glass cutter of a Savanna Lane address.

Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that about 10:00 am, Barnett and the complainant had an argument when it is alleged that Barnett pointed a firearm at him and threatened to kill him.

A report was made to the police and Barnett was arrested and later charged.

A court date for him is being finalised.
