21-year-old charged in St James lottery scam operation

ST JAMES, Jamaica— The Lottery Scam Task Force has charged a man after items linked to lottery scamming were allegedly found at his home in Bogue Village, St James on Thursday.

The man has been identified as 21-year-old Demario Spence. He is being charged with possession of identity information and possession of access device.

Reports are that a raid was carried out at Spence’s residence in Bogue Village, and during the search, several items including US bank cards, laptops and cellular phones were found and seized.

Investigations continue.
