The recently concluded Enabling Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (EOPD) project, funded by the European Union and executed by RISE Life Management Services, has successfully trained and certified approximately 180 persons in Jamaican Sign Language. The EOPD project extended beyond training, encompassing a comprehensive national media campaign, financial support to third parties, and initiatives for life skills development and psychosocial support.
The EOPD close-out ceremony coincided with Disabilities Awareness Week 2023, observed from December 3 to 8 under the theme ‘Inclusion in Action: Building Accessible Communities’. More in this week’s Business Social.
