Verticast has turned weekly relaxation into a nightmare!
Dear Editor,
I must confess that I was initially excited when businessman Oliver McIntosh and his Verticast team, which operates under the name C-Sport, took charge of rights to broadcast the English Premier League (EPL) from the former rights holders. I viewed it as a welcome development because, for too long in this hemisphere, a certain demographic had held a vice-like grip on these mega-sports related business ventures.
However, I’m bitterly disappointed in the quality of service being provided by Verticast.
Every week I exist in a state of trepidation about whether my service to watch the English Premier League will work. Sometimes the service is non-existent and when it is in fact present, the stream is dogged by major issues, including freezing of the screen or the actual broadcast being delayed by several minutes. The delay makes it quite anticlimatic when goals are scored or there are major developments in the matches.
All these issues have persisted for months despite my trying to have them resolved by having cordial conversation with Verticast representatives.
A host of my friends and associates are having similar problems.
In some instances I am also unable to log into my account due to no obvious reason. I am tired.
I’m left to wonder whether McIntosh and the Verticast/C-Sport TV team have taken on more than they can manage.
I’m an avid football fan and Verticast has turned my weekly relaxation into a nightmare. I’m fed up.
