Skippa Don to make Portland debut at Winter Splash
Dancehall artiste Skippa Don, who has been making serious noise on YouTube Trending for Music charts with songs such as Like Bob, Hell Boy, Going On, and All Along, makes his Portland debut on Winter Splash on December 31.
This will be the third staging of Winter Splash which is the brainchild of Sheldon Brooklyn Boss.
It will be held at Shan Shy Beach, Port Antonio.
“Winter Splash is basically my birthday celebration; however, I decided to host the event in Portland to give back to the parish that my family is from. I love visiting Portland because it’s a beautiful parish,” the US-based Sheldon Brooklyn Boss explained.
He continued: “Portland is a very welcoming parish, and the people are very supportive. This is my second time doing this event in Portland.”
The first staging of Winter Splash was held in 2021 at the Rebel T HQ in Kingston.
Last year, dancehall artiste Valiant was among the headliners at the event which was held in Portland.
Said Sheldon Brooklyn Boss: “The event has been very successful, and that’s the reason why I continue to host it every year. It just keeps getting bigger.”
Aside from the high-riding Skippa Don, other performers will include Manchester-based dancehall artiste Raw Cashh and Portmore-based deejay 1Fluent.
SJ Ali Patch, DJ Niney, Black Ice, Patu Squad, and Road Kode Sound will provide musical vibrations.
“Patrons can expect good music, great food, [and] live fireworks to ring in the new year, and live performances. Portland will come alive on New Year’s Eve,” said Sheldon Brooklyn Boss.
