Hope’s inspiration

It was very heartwarming to learn that triumphant Captain Shai Hope of the West Indies One-Day International (ODI) squad that routed England in the first match in the three-match series attributes his decisive unbeaten 109-run knock off 83 balls to one of the best Indian cricket captains’, popularly known as the Finisher in the cricket world, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, inspirational tips.
Hope said, “Dhoni had told me a year back that having a great potential within you coupled with sufficient time you should try to stick to the wicket as far as possible. Dhoni’s words were in mind for the last one year. And I played accordingly.”
Hope’s latest knock of 109 is his 16th ODI ton.
