Sandals spreading love at Exchange All-Age
ST ANN, Jamaica – Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Plantation recently joined forces to create an unforgettable day for the grades one and two students of Exchange All-Age School.
The event, aptly named “Spreading the Love”, aimed to bring smiles to the faces of the young learners and create lasting memories.
Trecia Kettle, spa manager at Sandals Royal Plantation, expressed the spirit of the event, saying, “At Sandals we believe in spreading joy beyond our resorts. It’s a privilege to come together with Sandals Dunn’s River to make a positive impact on the lives of these children.”
The day commenced with an uplifting chorus of songs, echoing through the school grounds. Team members engaged with the children, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. The infectious laughter of the students and the genuine smiles on their faces set the perfect tone for a day filled with love.
As the morning unfolded, the children were treated to a delightful array of goodies. Sandwiches, cookies, and ice cream adorned the tables, but this generous spread was not just about food, it was a gesture of love and care from the Sandals team to the over 120 students present.
Each child was also presented with a special gift, meticulously packed with love by the dedicated team members. The exchange of gifts became a symbol of the bond formed between the Sandals team and the young hearts they sought to touch.
Principal Ricardo Moncrieffe lauded the Sandals team members for taking time out of their busy schedule to care for the students and pointed out that the effort was much appreciated by both staff and students alike.
Toni-Ann Richards, a wedding planner at Sandals Dunn’s River and a proud alumna of Exchange All-Age, shared her sentiments: “Being a part of such an amazing act of kindness was a pleasure. Coming back to my alma mater to give back to the children was a nostalgic experience, reminding me of my own days as a youngster at this school.”
As the day drew to a close, the happiness radiating from the children was palpable. Team members, too, left with a deep sense of satisfaction, knowing they had made a meaningful impact on the lives of these young ones. The joy, laughter, and shared moments of “Spreading the Love” lingered in the air, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
In the end, it was more than just a treat, it was a celebration of kindness, compassion, and the profound joy that comes from giving back to the community. Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Plantation had truly made a difference, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the Exchange Primary School children.
