Dolla and Ultra healing hearts for Christmas
DOLLA Financial Services and Ultra Financier, subsidiaries of FirstRock Group, are rewriting the script on corporate compassion with a donation of $1 million to Chain of Hope Jamaica, dedicated to fostering life-changing heart surgery at Bustamante Hospital for Children.
This reflects Dolla and Ultra’s commitment to creating a lasting impact on the lives of children facing health challenges.
Collaborating with Chain of Hope Jamaica, founded by Professor Magdi Yacoub in 1995, the Dolla Group is embracing a mission beyond business as usual.
Beyond the dollars and cents, Dolla and Ultra’s contribution embodies the heartbeat of a child, the promise of a brighter future, and the tangible expression of corporate empathy. This donation will directly fund a child’s heart surgery at Bustamante Hospital for Children, leaving an indelible mark on the path to collective responsibility.
“Our mission extends beyond financial services — it is about weaving positive change. Dolla is privileged to stand with Chain of Hope Jamaica, contributing to a mission that transcends borders and mends hearts. By coming together we can make a real and lasting difference in the lives of these children and their families,” said Kenroy Kerr, CEO of Dolla.
“Dolla looks forward to continuing this tradition of compassion and support for years to come, standing with Chain of Hope Jamaica in their mission to mend little hearts and transform lives, one child at a time,” added Kerr.
Chain of Hope Jamaica, with its global reputation, brings together some of the most inspirational leaders in the cardiac world. This collaborative effort, grounded in the principle of a chain of volunteers, has birthed an international charity that is reshaping the narrative for children with heart disease.
Due to the significant philanthropic contribution, the Dolla Group received an invitation from Chain of Hope Jamaica, in collaboration with Chain of Hope UK, to participate in a thank you event last Thursday.
The event was planned to to provide a treat for 10 children and to express gratitude to key stakeholders such as Dolla and Ultra. This allowed members of the Dolla Group to engage with the children directly, demonstrating their commitment to effecting positive change in the lives of young ones.
Subsequent to the thank you event, Dolla officially presented a cheque valued at $1 million, and its name was unveiled on Bustamante Hospital for Children’s Wall of Gratitude.
