A Walk with the Walkers
Friday, November 10, 2023 was the day chosen by Zeirleshea O’Haro and Ajani Walker to affirm their love. The vows officiated by Reverend Dr Al Miller took place at the Fellowship Tabernacle. The couple shared with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV) that the ceremony echoed tradition and elegance.
Zeirleshea and Ajani’s love story unfolded through the digital realms of Instagram during the tumultuous days of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, their first date at Devon House became the foundation of a connection that deepened over meaningful conversations. Two years later, Ajani orchestrated an unforgettable proposal. “I was promised a fabulous night out,” explained Zeirleshea. “I was given a dress, a pair of heels and was met by my make-up artist Oniel ‘Glam by Oniel’ Baugh.
“On the way to our ‘date’, Ajani explained, “he had to detour to get some things… He asked for my assistance… I went inside to help and walked into a space filled with family, friends, food, and beautiful décor. I was speechless and overcome with emotions. Tears welled up in my eyes as he knelt and asked for my hand in marriage… I definitely recall saying ‘Yes’.”
Handling the intricate details of the day was D’ Mar Events who created an enchanting atmosphere complete with the theme: A Walk with the Walkers.
For her special day, Zeirleshea, chose an ivory-coloured LuxBrides JA gown that featured an A-line cape, adorned with exquisite reflective lace and pearl details. Her bridegroom, for his part, opted for a custom navy-blue three-piece suit from Spencer’s Tailoring.
Escorted by her brother Valon Williams, and clutching a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath Zeirleshea commenced her walk up the aisle to the violin cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love by George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore
The joyous recessional was marked by James Brown’s I Feel Good.
The reception followed at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel where the bridal party made their entrance to Davido’s Unavailable, whilst the newly-weds made theirs to Michael Jackson’s Rock My World.
Nadine Walker, mistress of ceremonies, handled the formalities and welcomed guests to the Champagne white-glove cocktail hour. Post-dinner and heartfelt speeches the newly-weds cut the five-tier Sweet Mischief Jamaica wedding cake and opened the dance floor to Best Part by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R.. The celebrations culminated in an after-party with DJ Nelson giving patrons little option but to switch into their dancing shoes.
Mr and Mrs Ajani commenced their honeymoon at an undisclosed north coast location, marking the beginning of their happily-ever-after.
