5-year-old gets wish to meet PM
PRIME Minister Andrew Holness was less than a minute into his address at the Jamaica Labour Party’s St Ann North Eastern constituency conference on Sunday, November 12 when he was stopped in his tracks.
A little girl who had been hoisted onto the front of the stage beckoned to him. He took her hand, leaned forward, had a short conversation with her after which they took photos.
The little girl, five-year-old Irene Marrone, told the Jamaica Observer that she had long wanted to meet Holness.
Why?
“Because I like him,” she said in response to the Sunday Observer.
Asked to share what she told the the prime minister, the Care Bear pre-preparatory school student said, “I told him he’s doing a great job and he’s doing for Jamaica the right things.”
