Digicel making Christmas a ‘Perfect 10’ for customers and communities
TELECOMMUNICATION giant Digicel recently kicked off its ‘Christmas is a 10’ promotion, with a promise to give away more than $50 million in cash, prizes, and donations to its customers and communities.
The company activated prize-giving opportunities valued at more than $1.5 million on day one of the promotion last Friday.
As if it were replicating Santa Claus’ famous sleigh, the Digicel ‘Sleigh Ah Road’ team visited customers in Portmore, St Catherine and Mandeville, Manchester, using drones to drop iPhone 14 Pro smartphones, smart watch kits, utility vouchers, home appliance vouchers, and more into the hands of 10 unsuspecting customers. This, in addition to awarding prizes to the first 10 customers to complete in-store transactions.
“Every Christmas is an opportunity for us to make it the best ever for our customers,” declared Digicel’s Chief Marketing Officer Tari Lovell.
“This is why we’re committed to making Christmas extra special for our customers and communities, by making the season a perfect 10 for as many of them as possible. We want everyone to have a chance to win big, while we come together for fun, games, and excitement as we share in the magic of the season in their communities,” added Lovell.
In addition to surprise drone drops, Digicel will be rolling out with road shows across several parishes, making stops at major town centres. The road shows will feature fun activities, good vibes, and lots of winnings. Digicel will also bring Christmas cheer to tree-lighting ceremonies and traditional community events.
Deal days on the latest smartphones and other sought-after gifts will last right up until Christmas. Customers can receive gifts with any handset purchase, and on Fridays, they can experience ‘TREEmendous Winnins’, where the first 10 customers to complete a transaction or sign-up for Digicel+ will win prizes.
Joining in on the spirit of the season, Digicel’s team of brand ambassadors, including Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Briana Williams, will be making it a perfect 10 as they go the extra mile to brighten lives in the communities where they lived, worked, and love.
The Digicel Foundation will also be supporting several community-based organisations and initiatives to make their Christmas brighter.
The Christmas is a 10 promotion runs from November 10 to December 26. Customers can enter to win weekly prizes, including iPhone 14 Pro smartphones, utility vouchers, and more. Ten lucky winners will win $1 million each in the grand prize draw, and 10 additional winners will win Sony PS5 gaming consoles and smart home appliances.
