Thrilling finish to Jamaica Pro Golf League Series
The Jamaica Pro Golf League Series came to a thrilling conclusion on Tuesday at the picturesque Caymanas Golf & Country Club.
The event, known for its competitive spirit and stunning golfing action, was extraordinary this year as golf enthusiasts and competitors were treated to an afternoon of excitement and celebration.
In the amateur section, the competition was fierce, with Robert Sterling and Sean Morris emerging as the top performers, sharing the spoils of victory with a cash prize of $12,500 each. The talent displayed by these two players showcased the depth of skill in this category.
The seniors’ division also had its fair share of thrills. In a remarkable tiebreaker, Errol secured the third position and was awarded a generous cash prize of $20,000. Martin Butt took the second spot, while the first position went to Lloyd Campbell, who demonstrated his golfing prowess.
In the professional category, Al Robinson, who showed incredible skill and determination, secured the third position, walking away with a well-deserved cash prize. The second position went to Orville Christie, who demonstrated outstanding golfing prowess. However, it was Wesley Brown who emerged as the star of the show, clinching the first position with cash prize of $100,000.
To top it all off, the overall winner for the year’s final tournament was senior player Joel “Chicken” Campbell, who displayed remarkable consistency and talent throughout the series. He was awarded a handsome cash prize in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
The 2023 Jamaica Pro Golf League Series Final Edition was truly a memorable event, with each player exhibiting their passion for the sport and their unwavering dedication.
