Jamaica Enrolled Nurses Association marks 50 years
The Jamaica Enrolled Nurses Association held its annual conference and banquet to mark 50 years of existence last Tuesday, October 31, and Wednesday, November 1 at Iberostar Rose Hall Resort, Montego Bay.
The organisation honoured some of its own at the banquet, and others outside of its ranks, among them Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton, former president of the Nurses Association of Jamaica (Registered nurses) Patsy Edwards Henry, and sponsors Orion Insurance Brokers, and Erin Radiology.
The Office of the Public Defender was also recognised at the banquet which saw Andrea Delcita Wright delivering the keynote address speaker.
Tracey Ann Grant Thomas was named Enrolled Nurse of the Year.
Nurse Sadie Edwards Shaw, as well as Pauline Jarrett Spence were honoured for long service and dedication to the association.
The events were held under the theme ‘Surviving the challenges; Celebrating the Harvest.’
