In an age when partygoers seemingly prefer to snap and share rather than live in the moment, much can be said about Frenchmen parties and their undeniable vibe!
The best F’in Weekend kicked off early Saturday morning with Rise Up, the ultimate, breakfast-inclusive cooler fete. Hundreds lugged igloos from their shuttle buses to the sands of Pearly Beach for a party that promised to be one for the books. And while all the deejays delivered, it was the ‘Vibes Minister’ Fyahman-led 80s segment that got the party really started. The deejay opened with late pop princess Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody and How Will I Know; before sending the crowd into overdrive with Madonna’s hit Like a Virgin; Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want To Have Fun; and Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!
