Anglers seeking luck on final day of MoBay marlin tournament
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Anglers will be hoping for better luck on Friday’s final day of fishing in the 62nd Montego Bay Yacht Club Marlin tournament with just one marlin landed in the first two days.
On Wednesday, the first day of the three-day tournament, Dustin Crawford on the boat ‘Pier Pressure Too’ landed a marlin and was still on top of the leaderboard when fishing started on Friday’s final day.
The Marlin was landed with about 30 minutes remaining in regulated fishing time while another four were caught and released.
A Wahoo weighing 20.95lbs was also caught by John Pettini on ‘My Other Toy’ on Wednesday.
On Thursday, four marlins were caught and released, one of which was disqualified while another Wahoo weighing 21.70lbs was caught by Dave Talevi on ‘My Other Toy’.
