Security courier attacked in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police have confirmed that a vehicle belonging to a money courier company was attacked by gunmen in New Forest, Manchester on Thursday evening.

Preliminary reports are that the robbery attempt was foiled. Unconfirmed reports suggest that a security guard was shot during the incident.

This latest incident follows the August 25 armed robbery in Mandeville which left five people injured when gunmen attacked a Beryllium crew making off with millions of dollars. The total amount stolen is yet to be disclosed.
